E-mail : jacques.chevin@viefrancigene.org
The Via Francigena, the pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome via France, has been mapped out and studied. Sigeric, Archbishop of Canterbury in 990, noted the 80 places where he stayed overnight, providing the best source of information on this route. Leave from Leffond and pass through Montarlot-lès-Champlitte and Champlitte. Discover Framont and Montot, and follow the Saône via Vellexon-Quetrey and Vaudey. Finish at Cussey-sur-l'Ognon for an immersion in natural beauty and rural atmosphere.
