    Église Saint-Didier N. Ledoux

    Roche - 70180 ROCHE-ET-RAUCOURT
The church of Saint-Didier (bishop of Langres martyred by the Germans around 335) was rebuilt in 1765 on the site of the old church, which had become too dilapidated, according to the plans of architect Claude-Nicolas Ledoux. It was restored in 1872 and topped by a superb Comtois bell tower with glazed tiles. Disused since 1867, the cemetery surrounding the church now houses only the tomb of the Millerand family, ancestors of Alexandre, former President of the Republic (1920-1924).
